Review on ๐Ÿ’ป M350 Compact Mini-ITX PC Enclosure with PicoPSU Compatibility by Omar Gonzales

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great for small builds, study before buying

I bought this case with the intention of building a device (router/firewall) so I was specifically looking for something small. This case is perfect for my project. Many other reviewers have complained that not everything fits. I understand why; It was a problem that everything fit. However, this is one of the smallest mini-ITX cases and therefore not designed for spaciousness. I'd look elsewhere if you're building a mini-ITX setup but still expecting to host a full-size build (expansion cards, etc.). If you're trying to do something more inline, this is the perfect case. It even looks like it could pass for a large modem or similar device. Do some research before you buy (reading these reviews is a good place to start). I wouldn't just buy any mini-ITX board and expect it to work well with this case. Many people complain that their CPU cooler doesn't fit or the switch cables don't reach the connectors on their board. I haven't had any of these issues with a Gigabyte Intel NM70 Celeron 1037U GA-C1037UN dual core processor. Looking at the back of the board (where the I/O connectors are) you want the CPU to be closer to the center left of the board (the hard drive bracket that causes problems is on the right when you're in the Review). The hard drive bracket is removable, but my screw had snapped off so I couldn't easily remove it. You also want the power button/LED pins to be on the opposite side (front right) of the board. Pico PSU users: This case is designed to be compatible with Pico PSUs. There are several holes on the back of the case through which the DC plug can be inserted. Based on some other reviews, some people couldn't figure out how to properly install the jack. It took me a while to figure this out: my power supply came with a panel mount connector that I had never installed before. It didn't quite fit in one of the holes until I noticed that there was a nut on the back of the connector. You will need to use a ratchet to remove the nut, run a jack through one of the holes, and then reinstall the nut/washer to secure it to the body. I kicked myself as soon as I figured it out, but there are no instructions, so the solution wasn't immediately obvious.
