As mentioned in other negative reviews, the single socket on this shelf only works with Decora sockets. Decora (or Decorator) bushings are newer rectangular 2-bolt bushings. With the Decora covers, two screws provide more support to attach the shelf to the wall. There is only one screw on the standard bushing and the plastic rosette bends too much when the screw is tightened. The shelf slides down and tends to slide from side to side so the shelf is not level. To make the shelf stable I had to buy a large (non-flexible) metal pad and epoxy it to the shelf (see picture). A second trip to the hardware store and four bucks for a metal bezel means it's not a viable design. If you have standard single block sockets, buy another brand.
