Review on πŸ’§ DSLRKIT 32GB USB Flash Drives: Slim, Waterproof and Portable Storage Solution by Viterbo Dashora

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I just wish it was *slightly* a little smaller

I put this holiday in the center console of my 2014 Mazda 2 hoping it would be short enough to cover the USB port. Unfortunately, it's not small enough to fully close the lid, but it does the trick. It's only a hair's breadth (almost literally) shorter than the SanDisk Cruzer Fit drives. It's also thinner because it doesn't have a plastic grip and metal shield around the USB pins. I had to reiterate, I may have bought one of the SanDisk drives because the 64GB Cruzer Fit is only about $2 more expensive than this 32GB drive. Again, the factory stereo in this car is pretty bulky, so I'm not sure I could easily use that much more space. Since physical size was my primary goal here, I'm not worried about missing out on storage space. As for performance, I haven't tested it. Write performance was fast enough that it didn't bother me, and read performance was good enough that the stereo didn't drop out. It suits my needs in this department. It's a tiny, inexpensive USB2 drive, so I don't think anyone should expect lightning-fast performance from it. I didn't have to do anything special with it to use it in my car stereo. The supplied format works perfectly. I just copied the files to it and everything was ready to go. Can't comment on reliability yet, but will have to endure some harsh conditions in the near future. I expect the temp inside the car will top 110F (parked with windows open) by the end of summer. If it becomes unreliable I will come back here and update the rating to reflect that.
