I cut fabric for a living and have tried almost all kinds of scissors. I bought them on the spur of the moment and stocked up on my usual Fiskars and Ginghers. I was skeptical as I had never heard of this brand before but was quickly impressed with its quality. They are as sharp as my high-quality Gingher scissors and just as easy to use as the Fiskars Easy Action Scissors. But what really won me over about these scissors is that they are stronger than Fiskars. I can only cut three or four layers of fabric with my Fiskars, and these scissors can easily cut up to eight layers, which previously I could only do with my full metal ginghers (which are just deadly to your body). hands if you do repeated cutting for more than five minutes). My only complaint is that the locking mechanism is on the back of the handle and requires the use of two hands to lock and unlock. I suspect it's probably because the Fiskars have some sort of thumb lock patent.
