Here I take a different perspective and give my opinion on the "cons". After reading several 5 star reviews you will find many "pros" and I agree there are! Here are the main runtime errors as I see them. Neither of these are a deal breaker, but the combination paints a cost-cutting picture that I find objectionable at this price point: - no rain cover included - zips not closed - other reviews disagree but trust me on this one - zips are CHEAP - NOT all zippers have two pulls. Extension zip is easy and even worse Single zip pockets - Failure here is a big problem on long trips - Handle is sewn into the lid which puts a strain on the (cheap) zip when lifting - Can't easily get into the bag using the handle as the handle is attached to the lid. Unless you put the bottle in your back pocket, the taillight pull-tab is practically useless. pointing down about 30-45 degrees in your bright light - the top of the back pocket is unnecessarily stiff, making it difficult to attach. In addition, the cord is elastic, so if you need to tie it tightly, the elastic will stretch and fail over time. The shoulder strap clip is in the pocket. If you have a larger bottle, you cannot use the shoulder strap while the bottle is inside. The spring tension on the locking mechanism is fairly light, raising concerns about potholes/bumps opening the lock. a way to block the clamping spring, which would facilitate the task described above. This is my review in a nutshell. Individually, many of them are manageable, but together they're not a fan of thrifting unless the price reflects it - say, $65 or so. I will keep my bag as I need something and the convenience factor is quite high. If it fails I will not replace it (unless there is a major product update). Instead, I can look for a good quality quick release saddlebag with a simple basket assembly.
