Review on πŸ¦† 10 Feet Duck Adhesive Weatherstrip - 1278972 by Kevin Schnitzer

This fills in some of the gaps created by some of our cats who believe they can actually claw through steel doors.

Even though we installed several doors, some of our silly cats still think that scratching the door is actually helping them get in... which happens because we open the door to tell them that they should stop and hello run. I've given up and now just plug this in where they create the gap because it's a lot cheaper than replacing the entire jamb side seal that slides into the doorstop. We also have a couple of sash windows where the original seals are worn and fitting on the side where the window slides into the frame eliminates the draft. There are many sizes of this material, but I've found that it's best to use the next size up in thickness compared to the size of the gap you're trying to fill. I even layered this material because it adheres well to itself. I also just filled in some of the gaps where my storm door meets the metal frame and it was a lot easier than trying to bend the door and/or frame to get a tighter fit as the hot summer sun is likely to damage them would deform again. Worth the price and better than driving 40 miles home.
