I bought this dog harness for our dog for a trip where we thought we might do a lot of hiking and walking. Our dog is spoiled and not used to much cross country walking so I figured he would need to be carried at some point. The sling is lightweight and very easy to pack for any trip. We plan to take it with us on a hike in a backpack so we have it when and when we need it. The strap is very well padded so while we haven't tested it other than trying it on with her to see how it fits her, I think it will keep our shoulder comfortable. Our dog is about 12 pounds and has a long body, but he fits perfectly in this sling and has room for him. The only downside is that there is absolutely no support at the bottom of the sling to make her really comfortable, so we might put a towel or small blanket in there for her. The zip pocket is a nice size and easily fits in a poop bag, keys or my Samsung S8 phone. My son is about 5ft 2in and holds them in a sling, photos I've posted here for comparison. The strap is adjustable. for those who are taller or shorter for comfort. The material of the sling seems nice and durable, so I hope we can put this sling to good use. I think it will also come in handy when we go to shops, stores or restaurants to hold while we mind our own business. The brown lining isn't that pretty, so that's what it is.
