I was very skeptical that the impulse charger could somehow revive my batteries. I've watched a few YouTube videos that say they work great and also a few videos that say they are a scam. I used this to revive two batteries. I'm sure they aren't as good as a new battery, but in my case it worked. It also works well as a standard charger. Considering the cost, I highly recommend trying the repair function to fix a battery you're not relying on. If they were the battery for my truck I would just replace the battery. The first battery I used the repair function on was for my camper. It charges but dies after a few hours if I turn on the heater (gas heater/electric fan) at night. I used repair mode for a few days and now it lasts a lot longer on a charge. I can work all night and my battery is not empty in the morning. The second battery I tested it with was 6V. It sat dead in my welder for years. I could not start charging with this charger. 6V is not enough for 12V. I ended up using a UPS/security system charger that only provided 200mA. This boosted my battery to around 9V. As soon as I removed it, the tension started to drop. I removed this charger and immediately plugged it in. The charge was high enough for the charger to recognize it as a 12V battery and start charging. I ran recovery mode for 4 days and now it's holding a usable charge. It's definitely not a new battery, but it's usable now.
