ok i have to say i like this item. With a hand movement, the lid slides back up. When your hands are full of junk, just waving it is great. This newer model (I had the original that eventually died) has a clip on the odor absorber under the lid. Good addition. Normal high garbage bags fit in well. I didn't buy a plug-in charger, just used D batteries, which is fine. NOTE: DO NOT attempt to wash the lid! (e.g. do not stick in the sink and do not use a spray bottle). If the electronics inside get wet, you'll blow everything up and it won't work forever. I'm not exactly sure, but my old one might have gotten water. So just wipe it off if anything gets on it. If you damage it you can just buy a replacement cover from the iTouchless website, but to buy the whole bin the price was better here at Revain.
