I was a bridesmaid in my friend's wedding and the venue suggested we wear these on our heels. The ceremony was held on grass so we had to walk down the aisle and stand for a good 20 minutes. These definitely made walking on the grass easier. At the conclusion of the ceremony one girl's heels poked completely through the plastic and another was warped. Another girl's shoes were damaged as the plastic rubbed off some of the leather on her heel. In all, they worked well and survived on 3 of the 5 bridesmaids, hence the 3 stars. To be honest, I was wearing pretty expensive 4 inch heels and had read the previous reviews so I was careful and didn't put too much weight on the heel. I carefully removed them after the ceremony and my shoe was just fine.
