These markers may seem a bit pricey compared to regular markers, BUT they are by no means regular markers. My son is 10 and loves them! He's been into art lately and these markers are so much fun. We actually "painted" some fun rocks together and you can apply colors and mix like paint if you aren't afraid to get your hands a little dirty. I will say they are better for older kids who are less messy because this marker is hard to remove from walls and such. The colored end of the marker can be pulled out and flipped over when the tip gets a little dirty or flat. I would recommend and plan to buy him a large set for his birthday!
