I am very, very happy with this frame. Having worked with it, I agree that it's probably not the best for large dog collars, but it's perfect for our small cat collar. I thought the bell would "loosen up" a bit, but there was enough space between the mat and the glass to hold it in place. I don't care, I've just never thought about it. Opening the picture wasn't a problem for me either. I used a 4x6 print from the day it moved in, centered it and glued it to the back of the rug, then cut what I needed to fit the frame. I had no problem threading his collar through the slots other than having to be patient with the adjustable clamp and making sure it didn't damage the mat, but I have no complaints. I was a bit concerned that I don't have many horizontal images, but the back of the frame is such that I only rotated it once before reinserting it and laying it on its side. This is a great product and appears to be very well made. I am very happy to have it in my house as a keepsake of the best cat ever.
