I work at my desk all day, every day. I use a standing desk and keep the keyboard off the edge. This meant my elbows/forearms were right on the edge of the table. I needed a simple pillow that would put some pressure on my forearms. I didn't need an inch of memory foam as it would knock off my wrist corners etc. They are perfect for a little comfy padding. You are NOT fat. Calling them "ergonomic” is misleading and intentionally misleading. These are thin pads to keep your hands and wrists off the hard surfaces a bit. They are not ergonomic wrist rests. This all works for me, but it may not be what others want. Also, I see many complaints (oddly enough) that the wider bandwidth is unusually large. I think it's the perfect size.
