👉This works with Instant Pot Duo Nova👈

I have Instant Pot Duo Nova 8 and 10 liters. According to the diagram, this shouldn't fit my Instant Pot model. I'm not sure why, except maybe on "authorized" models, the vapor exits through the vapor vent handle, which has a knob or small projectile on the knob that can hold the vapor vent in place through the square holes . at the bottom of the switch. On my Duo Nova model, the vapor is not released via the vapor release button, but via a weighted valve. This is a safety feature as on older models it was too easy to scald while releasing steam unless the user used a wooden spoon or similar device to press the steam release button. This way they direct the vapor to the weighted vapor release valve and pressing the vapor release button is no longer a hazard on newer models. So the weighted valve on my Duo Nova doesn't have a handle or projectile to hold the vapor vent securely in place. . The weighted vapor release valve is also a little wobbly. It is not very reliable where it is, which is why the manufacturer of this steam trap may have assumed that the steam trap could not be seated securely against the steam release valve. When I bought it, I knew I was taking a risk. But I figured it was worth the risk as I'm willing to try anything to keep the steam from ruining my cabinets. I bought the smaller of the two steam outlets. It snaps straight onto a weighted vapor release valve and works when you hold it. However, I, Vicky, installed it by folding the bottom up to the top of the holes and slipping it over the vapor weighted exhaust valve. I uploaded some photos to show what I did. Since there are no projectiles hanging from my weighted vapor release valve, there is no need to drill holes anyway. When the bottom is folded, this item works BEAUTIFUL! It blows steam straight into my sink! I found I didn't even have to press the vapor release button. All I have to do is hold the steam distributor down and push it forward a little. The steam comes right out. If you have Duo Nova this still works. i know i understand I also don't like "fixing" the products I buy before I can use them. But to be honest, we still shouldn't buy this item for our model. If you don't want to bend the bottom of the steam outlet, you can cut it along the top of the holes; but I can't guarantee this will work as well as folding. I think the "cuff" at the bottom gives the diverter extra strength and keeps it in place more securely.
