I have been wet shaving for many years, but due to irritation on my neck and chin I was never able to get a very close shave. I tried shaving soaps, creams and so on, but I couldn't get rid of calluses and ingrown hairs when I shaved my chin and neck. I have always been interested in The Art of Shaving products and finally decided to buy some Sandlewood cream and shaving oil. When you receive the bottle, you might find it a bit small, but don't worry, it helps a little. I put a dime-sized drop on my hand and rubbed it in. I immediately noticed that my face became very smooth. After a few seconds I lathered my face with cream and did the first pass. Right away I could tell a big difference. My razor glided right down my face with no friction! I then relathered and did my second run. I usually felt a slight burn in my face on the second pass, but this time I didn't feel it. I was then able to shave my entire jawline and neck and get rid of all the hair without any redness or bumps. I will definitely buy this now. You'll find it sticks to the blade a little when you try to clean it, but it comes off immediately with no problems.
