My daughter loved the look of this shoe when we had to buy her a new pair. Merrell has been a brand that has worked for us in the past with mixed results depending on shoe type. It's not always bad or good for things like durability/durability, but we haven't had any design issues so far. Even just looking at the shoe, the collar and heel strap tend to cut into the Achilles tendon. A small depreciation is foreseen. My daughter walked around our living room and dining room [probably 30 feet] in her shoes. She winced and complained of pain. Remember these shoes were true to size. We took off our shoes and examined her Achilles foot, which was covered with redness and a small cut on the surface of the skin. I examined the collar and the inside of the shoe to determine the problem. The insides of the shoe have no padding or cushioning to speak of. I can't imagine anyone having a good experience with this shoe. Stay away from it. I've never had to leave such a negative review, and I don't like doing it. But I wouldn't recommend anyone to buy this file even though it looks nice.
