We received the first one after about 3 months. return. It seemed to stick and often just stops when sanding. Neither new batteries nor switching to other whole peppers helped. We tried colored things, black things, and they all slowed down and often stopped the mechanism. Finally, desperately, I called Revane to see if he was ok. And so. I love this business and so do our guests when we have company. It looks great, feels great and serves its purpose. The price is fantastic compared to some others we have tried as well. However, there is only one small problem with them. The on/off button to start and stop grinding is located on the side of the device, so once you lift it up you can simply start grinding. We got used to it and now it's fun to use, especially with unsuspecting guests who have never seen it. Oh yeah, I forgot one more positive note. Most of the other brands and models of pepper mills we tried left a handful of peppers on the table after use. This one seems to shut down positively without leaving a mess. We love it.
