There is too much plastic around the micro connector.

I used this to connect a Raspberry PI Zero to a monitor. It works great aside from the fact that the molded plastic needs to be shaved off about 1/16th of an inch to plug into the Pi Zero when the Zero is in its case. It would make sense to leave the plug a little more open.
