Review on πŸŽ’ Everki EKP118: The Ultimate Backpack for 14.1 Inch Laptops by Carolina Whipple

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent backpack. The drinking bottle pockets are too small.

TL;DR = great backpack. Very convenient. The drinking bottle pockets are too small and narrow. I would buy it again. Pros: This backpack sits higher than previous backpacks and stops right over my butt. No matter how aggressively I go, it doesn't bounce off my butt. Generally very comfortable. The main compartment is surprisingly large for a small backpack. Comfortably accommodates a laptop and a spring jacket and offers plenty of space. The orange inner lining makes it easier to find. Cons: Bottle cages only fit small bottles. If you have a medium to large sized water bottle, you'll need to carry it around or keep it in the main compartment (next to your laptop). I like to ride to work with a bottle of water and that was the biggest piece of kit for me. Ideally, side pockets should be larger or adjustable. Other reviewers have complained about the laptop's built-in corner pads - it's true - the corners are decidedly less secure. Ideally, the backpack should have slightly better bottom/corner padding. There's nothing bad about it and I still use this backpack as my daily commute bag without the extra padding/sleeve. This may seem like an odd "cheat," but the medium-sized bag (with pen holders) is the same height as the backpack. It's not obvious, and several times I've temporarily lost my sunglasses because you can't open them to see the ground. You just have to get there.
