This product works very well and saves time. I have several apple trees and peeling apples for canning was time consuming and caused hand cramps when using a knife. In the end I decided on this device and used it. In less than an hour I had 18 cups of cored and sliced apples. It came loose a few times but I just tightened the suction again. I found that once it started peeling I had to grab the skin and hold it until it came loose or it would fall back into the apple and cause a blockage. This was easy to make and just tossed a strand of husk into my compost bin along with the seeds. It was easy to make adjustments to get a nice thin skin. Very easy to disassemble and clean. After drying the parts I easily reassembled them. I will be using it more often as I still have a few apples to process.
