Both my indoor and outdoor kitties love these shelters. Possums also use them. After initial assembly, they are easier to open, clean and reassemble. Cat hair sticks to the inside, but other than that, it's a great solution for keeping cats warm outside in winter. I put both on the porch, sheltered from the rain. I don't think it would be good for them to get wet. The instructions say not to use extra comforters inside, but I do and it makes the sheets easier to keep clean. Would definitely recommend if you have a covered area. It may take some persuasion at first to get cats to use them, but once they start, they love them!
