We bought these for our kids, new 11" Dell Inspiron 3100 laptops they got for Christmas as there wasn't enough memory to boot everything, what they wanted, but these cards aren't meant for that. ! This is our fault as we have seen "memory cards" and assumed that they give computers more memory/memory. They actually speed up the computer. We did notice a difference in speed after installation, but we didn't notice a huge difference as the new laptops were hardly used prior to installation, so it's hard to say for sure. They were really easy to install, in our case we only had to remove 8 screws and the bottom cover.
