Quiet, comes assembled. Easy to use and hardly notice it's there. Works well to absorb moisture in the air to prevent mold and musty odors. This doesn't work for large areas as I had to buy another for the area I wanted to absorb moisture. I would say it works well in an area no larger than 7 feet by 5 feet depending on humidity. It also fills up very quickly, I have to drain the water every other day. Good for pantries or maybe small bathrooms. It also turns off automatically when the water tank is full, which is a great feature as I sometimes forget to empty it every other day. Overall a good product, just wish I had bought a bigger one for my room.
