I can't recommend it for any purpose. The first 10MB is written at an acceptable speed, but then it slows down to 150-200 KB per second. That means they're useless for fast, sneaker-style file transfers. They also lose data integrity within a month, making them useless as backups. I had 2 out of 10 DOAs. Ok, they're cheap. But all 8 have I/O errors and corrupt files due to corruption after being idle for different number of months, most of them are kept less than 6 months. I have duel or triple backups so I haven't lost any data, but I wouldn't be able to recover my data if that was my only backup. For those unfamiliar, flash memory stores data in capacitance cells. These cells slowly lose charge and can eventually lose data, but this should last over 7 years. These flash drives lose data within a month. Unacceptable.
