So far so good - tote bags and travel products

I have an 8.5 lb Shiranian who loves to ride outdoors. The first impressions of this medium, which is not presented on the website, made me doubt my decision. The stretcher stinks of chemical odors right out of the box. Sometimes I wondered if a smoker had used it before. However, initial inspection revealed no defects and although the zippers appear to be very flimsy plastic, I zipped the bag shut and frowned at its fragility without a solid bearing surface. somewhere. I left one side open for my dog to explore and was immediately put off by the smell. Even high quality treats couldn't persuade her to go inside. After about 18 hours of airing, we did our first test run. The open space in the tote bag makes her nervous as she is used to the tight bandage. On my side, the tote was decently comfortable on my back. I'm 5ft 5" and had to adjust the straps a bit to find a secure position, especially since she was fidgeting nervously. Our first trip was short to allow her to get used to wearing it. that with additional training she would become comfortable wearing it. I am concerned about its durability with frequent use and its convenience. I understand that the lack of a solid surface that plexiglass or hollow panels could provide would add weight to the holder, but I still think there could be some benefit from the inclusion of a removable panel or panel set. I still appreciate the increased protection it offers against airborne debris. I will be using it for a couple of weeks and will update this review if necessary. - Update - After a few more uses I decided it was too big and unsafe for my girl. She slips too much and doesn't feel secure when we move, which shows in restless movements that don't look like her. I'm sending it back because I don't want to compromise their comfort or safety. Perhaps this is better suited for taller companions.
