Review on 👪 Fontanini by Roman: 5-Inch Centennial Holy Family - 3-Piece Set by Motogp Portillo

After scouring the gift shops and department stores and not finding any Christmas sets (is that crazy or what?), I was happy to see the variety of choices at Revain. One of the things that drew me to this set was the great detail of the facial features, especially the eyes. Other sets looked sloppier, like they were drawn by a child, or with a brush that was too thick, the eyes were unevenly sized, or oddly placed on the face. I was glad it looked realistic and when I received it. This set is made out of resin so don't expect the chalk-like sets you had under your 1960's Christmas trees, but I bought this for a friend who has kids and thought it would work. The resin looks just as good and will not be damaged if dropped. (My mother's Joseph didn't have an arm thanks to my brother.) These colors are more muted, not the bright jewel tones of some other sets, but they actually give a more stylish look. My friend liked the set. One more thing: Jesus can be taken from the cradle if you want to put him in his place at Christmas. Many kits do not offer this.
