It works, so it's done. We mainly use it for onions. As long as your veggies have some stiffness, they'll fit through with no problem. If it starts to spoil, you may have trouble cutting it. Again, be sure to buy fresh veggies when things go bad, so take it for what it's worth. Of course, knowing this fact, I have no place to throw stones. Cleaning is easy, although I haven't had it long enough to know if rust would be an issue. We keep using them and it makes some jobs a lot easier and faster so I'll probably buy them again.
