It didn't take long to assemble using the Allen key provided. As an amateur radio operator, I know that I should have tested the antenna before using it. I scanned slightly above the CB frequency range (26.965 to 27.405 MHz) with my VNA (EU1KY FAA-450 from Funtronics). The SWR values were below 2:1. This will likely mean that this antenna will deviate slightly from optimal performance, but that's the way it should be. Also no, I didn't have an antenna connected to the car's ground and I used a pigtail under the magnet as a counterpoise (also suboptimal). It was very nice for the money and was at my house every other day with Revane Prime.
