These ice cubes worked, every single one of them. I know several reviews have said theirs semi works. I'm glad I only wanted them for decoration because if I wanted to add them to drinks I'd be very hesitant as there's nothing mentioned on the packaging and instructions, but the plastic packaging they came in bears one Disclaimer. I originally had larger dice that had a button to activate the dice that had options to pick a fixed specific color, flash a fixed color, or an alternate color option - and that's what I thought I was getting. They're liquid-activated, though (although ironically they'll fire if you cover their sensors with your finger, which is a good way to test them if they need to be submerged in water). While they simply automatically switch between preset colors. I was going to put them in my gourds [plastic] so the fact that they had to mix with moisture confused me a bit, but I'm happy to report that they activate and keep their activation. With a damp folded paper towel they lasted for hours, no problem just sitting on the towel. Despite what I didn't expect, they still got the job done and did it well. However, I would advise using them only as decorative items and keeping them away from things you intend to consume.
