However, this fixed my drifting and slow spinning of my elite controller. The dead zone in the middle is huge. I have to rotate it almost 1/4 of the way through before it captures any input. It also reaches its maximum speed at about 3/4 deflection. Considering I had both slow spin and drift on my original I would say the original calibration was disabled so it has 3 stars instead of 1. Unfortunately I have no way of replicating this calibration. I have another controller that needs to be repaired. If this problem doesn't occur again, I'll update it. In the end I didn't fix the other controller and instead replaced the joystick in the Elite with the other controller's remaining working joystick. and it works great. So it wasn't a question of calibration.
