Incorrect product size. The belt is 43 inches long from end to end. So if you have a 40 inch waist you will need a 46 inch belt so you can zip it up and tuck the end for a neat look. I bought this belt (L 38-42) for my son who has a 40" waist in jeans and can barely touch the ends when he puts it on. For comparison, my waist is 36 inches and it fits me perfectly. Qualitatively it looks like a solid product, too bad I have to send it back.
