good sampler. I bought it straight away when I started shaving with a straight razor in Germany. I was cut with Van der Hagen blades and very quickly learned how different razor blades can be. I like the Astra blades in this example best because they strike a good balance between being very sharp and very smooth. The Shark blades are ok but I found them to wear out quickly. In my experience Lord Blades are the least aggressive - they are the most forgiving of the party. For some reason I don't really like Big Ben's blades.
