I really like this thing. It's simple, registers itself as a keyboard (so it works on any Mac or PC and probably many other things, without drivers) and does what it's supposed to. It's heavy enough to stay in place and has a good rubber base. It only has one indicator showing the coarse/fine adjustment, and it's a nice dull blue and white color (I mean, it's not too bright at best with the room lights off). The USB cable is included, connects very securely and it's USB-C! The handle is aluminum and looks pretty good, if not perfect. On the outside it feels great, no complaints - it looks like an old radio recorder. But its haptic feedback doesn't perfectly match the inputs, or perhaps how quickly my MacBook can process them. You can easily scroll through more or fewer clicks as the number of volume levels is changed by changing the speed at which the knob is rotated. The top button sets the coarse/fine adjustment (how much the volume is changed by the knob with each hit - 1 , 2 or 3). On a Mac, 1 is really the only setting I could see, but on Windows or Linux it would be nice to have it coarser by 2 or 3. The back, play/pause, and next buttons are nice and comfortable. Well. They're concave, conforming to your fingertip and giving a tactile indication of where they're at, require little pressure, have a satisfyingly low click, and yet have no problems with debouncing. Overall I would go against my usual advice and recommend ordering this here from Revain as this is literally the only place I could find this device or anything like it. I can't even find this device on the manufacturer's website.
