Shot 50/50. Research

I have 2 of these sensors, one for the gun closet and the other for the basement. I've had one for about a year and the other for about 3 months. The gun cabinet was stored at a temperature of 68-70 degrees and humidity of 45-50%, and he fried himself. 2 weeks ago the app said "unavailable" because I'm a worker, I work all day, when I finally checked yesterday, I took out the battery, and next to one of the battery contacts was fried. Worked great for the time I had it, albeit not reliably. There shouldn't be a 50/50 shot at quality. Again no water entered the gun safe, this sensor was on the top shelf and it died.
