Look out for holes and tears, repair or replace as soon as you see them. This is a great idea and my Sugi loved hiding in a banana and napping. However, after a few months, a small hole formed in one of the seams on the bottom of the banana, with some loose threads hanging out. I didn't realize it until my sugar glider caught a foot on one of the ropes and got stuck in a banana. Her leg was red where she was pulling and she was angry and scared. I unwrapped her leg, held her and comforted her, quickly tossing the banana in the trash. It was a bit traumatic and I caution people to inspect this item daily.
