Got a very large (12lb) mini golddoodle for my pup. I don't leave him in his playpen all the time. It's a special treat from time to time. I put some dog toys inside and put them in his playpen. He jumps on it, pounces on it, dives in it, rolls around in it, gnaws toys inside, runs in circles around it. He loves to. I had it for a couple of weeks when he was about 7lbs. He didn't chew the tent itself, just the toys. Sometimes he even sleeps on it. It served its purpose of providing some entertainment. I think if you expect your dog to quietly enter the tent and sit there and look out you will be disappointed. This thing is like a toy in itself. Update 12/11/2017: I got this when my dog was 7lbs and it's still big enough for him now that he's 20lbs. Just remember to get an EXTRA LARGE. I also washed it in the washing machine, on the gentle cycle, in warm water, with regular detergent and with borax to kill germs. Has not been machine washed at all. It came out like new, just let it dry naturally, do not tumble dry. It is also advisable to cut off the excess label in the inner corner; My dog found the tag and chewed on the stitching on that corner (just a little, not much damage). I keep the tent as a special treat and only take it out occasionally. Don't leave it unattended and don't let your dog chew on it. So the dog gets more of it. My dog just loves to dip and roll in it. I bought some of these little fluffy toys that make noise and threw them in the tent and my dog likes to follow them. For my pup the tent is more of a toy although he likes to jump on it and watch TV from there.
