I read some not so good reviews so I wanted to share my experience. I live in an apartment building in NYC and can barely reach our windows (baby locks). I got this and decided I would "try it quick". It was a little tricky at first, you have to be careful how strong you set the magnets, too strong and they just stick to the outside, too little and you're very happy with the rope being tied to something. I also noticed that as with any squeegee, the most important thing is lubrication and the path you take with the device. My first try was full of streaks and I felt like the device was going to lose it. Then I wet the window and tried again, moving slowly, paying attention to the movement I was making, especially near the edges so as not to knock it off, and using the "S" pattern that marks the stripe from the previous pass overlapped from left to right. It worked really well and I went as far as just leaving it on, squeezing more window cleaner onto the window and moving it in place to repeat. It took me a while to get the hang of it, but I ended up with a really good brushing. the window, so much so that I could tell a disaster was happening in it, cleaned it and was really surprised at how nice it looked. I am very happy with the product straight out of the box and look forward to doing the rest of the windows in my home. even. I would say the most important things is slow, stable, give yourself time to get comfortable and take plenty of fluid to keep the glide. Don't leave the two devices far apart, if so, slow down the speed or adjust the strength of the magnet to avoid pulling the outer half of the device too hard.
