As mentioned earlier, they don't hold up your speakers like cinder blocks or $200-$400 stands. The problem is that the steel base material is too thin and will flex if you put lateral pressure on the posts. This is more noticeable with heavier speakers and it's hard to say if this affects the sound quality. If you're worried, you can glue an 8-9 inch round ceramic or cast iron base to the bottom of the bottom plate to prevent it from warping. This worked better than I had hoped, and the coasters are now very stiff! As a bonus, the extra weight makes them a bit more stable. Also, thanks to the manufacturer for a functional yet attractive design, ease of assembly, and the presence of spikes to pierce/ Leveling the carpet, lining to protect the wooden floor and spikes to level the speakers.
