Our small home business has been using these from a retail store for several years. Therefore, when we received them, we did not check them immediately. When we tried to use them for work they didn't pick up. The outer packaging was broken and the clear plastic lid didn't fit the black base. We had to notice and send them back, but we've always trusted Sony. At first glance, the Sony drives didn't have the center hole printed around them like the other drives we bought. We had to buy more DVDs for work the next day. We no longer buy from Revain.
