The light was bright and sat comfortably around the neck. If that's enough for you, then this is a good reading lamp. The one I received had a broken zipper on the body and the flashlight itself is so bulky that when you put it in the case you turn the light halfway on. Time as the switch is very sensitive and not perfectly positioned in the light. If it's hanging in a drawer, on a dresser or in the corner of your bed then it will probably give off a great light. If you want something for camping and traveling like me, look elsewhere.
