It's a really long story but I used this stuff in a way that's not recommended but it worked so I'll share my experience, well some of it. No fish or other animals were hurt for starters because I used it on my preformed pond which I have no plans of putting fish in. I did 4 or 5 (I forget) thin layers with each new one extending a bit past the previous layer. I waited between coats until I was sure it was completely dry which wasn't easy considering the entire process happened on the floor in the middle of my living room. The areas I had to repair were at what I assume to be the weakest point on a preformed pond which is basically right on the curve of the shelf. I had to do alot of work to get things level so I was stepping in and out of the pond and putting alot of stress on my patchwork but it held up and when I filled it with water the results were the same. It's been holding up for several months now and I realize that's not very long but I'll update this review next spring regardless of whether it holds up or not but I'm actually thankful it worked this long because it was the cheapest option I could think of to at least get my pond up and going this summer.
