Review on Bluetooth headset Plantronics Voyager Legend, black by Adam Paka (Adam Trab ᠌

Totally disappointed, product is terrible.

I used Plantronics Discovery 975 - here is my review, despite some features and shortcomings, the sound was excellent even with winds and external noise. And from the "Legend" I did not expect this . I used it mainly in a room / car, here the sound was quite satisfactory. In the same conditions, the Jabra Wave works quite well for itself (my wife has already used 2 pieces, the last time due to overcharging the batteries). I gave the Legend to my wife and now I talked to her and pp. Ts - in general, she was on the street, it was raining, so I could not stand writing this review . because it's a mockery, not a headset. Although from the house she is normally heard according to the Legend The main problem is a strong noise up to the blocking of the microphone in the presence of even the slightest breath (the leg of a hefty microphone "sails" or what? ). I believe this is a "feature" of this model (in principle, this "kills" this model), everything can be forgiven except for the poor performance of the main function! It practically blocks the conversation in the presence of even a slight wind . unlike the Discovery 975 . where the sound is perfect. You have to wait until the gust of wind stops to say something . I will add that the fastening of the interchangeable gel pads is complicated, confusing and ill-conceived. For myself, I decided either 975 (in the sense of taking the 2nd time, because the first one has already rested in "eternity") if urgently or I'll wait until the prices are adequate for Voyager Edge, it looks like there is a continuation of 975 . Firmware 46

Pros
  • - Holds a charge for a long time - When there is no wind, everything is fine - sits comfortably behind the ear
Cons
  • - Loud noise up to microphone blocking, starting from a slight breeze - Specialized magnetic contact for charging (you can’t take it with you from USB) - poor fastening of the gel pads to the headset (the rubber ring of the gel pad seal quickly breaks and the gel pad simply does not stay in the headset) - the gel pad itself comes off the plastic with which it is inserted into the headset (~ several months and hello) - bulky - lack of a hard case for storage (I recommend taking the option with a case, I think it will help extend the life of the gel pad and the plastic base to which it is welded, but it will not affect the safety of the rubber o-ring anyway)
