I plugged it into my computer USB port as soon as it arrived. This fan had decent airflow for its size. It has slower speeds to save battery life. It was fairly quiet at all speeds. When switched off, the blade rotated for a surprisingly long time. It has really good bearings. The magnets are strong enough and stick to the tent mesh well without damaging the tent. I have a Riobi fan that I take with me on camping trips, but I usually run out of juice after the first night. I have a solar powered USB so it would be nice to turn on the fan for night 2. It also has a timer which can come in handy as it usually gets cooler at night. This is the first fan I've seen attached. on the tent screen with magnets and it works very well.
