Review on πŸ“Ά Efficient Connectivity: Pantech PANTECH UML290 Verizon 4G LTE USB Air Card Modem Mobile Broadband by Rick Gondoras

Revainrating 3 out of 5

The hardware seems fine.

I had to "upgrade" my personal Alltel device. I never had a contract and didn't want one. Now for the same money per month and with my own hardware I am limited to 6GB per month instead of unlimited. 4G LTE is not available and will probably never be deployed until the next better technology is rolled out in urban areas. I've been at the mercy of VW since they bought out their only competitor in my area, Alltel. Now they say my Alltel device will stop working soon. This modem was beneficial. It came with no software or instructions. I had to download them. I also had to go to the dealer to activate it because it didn't come with a SIM card. It was only about $6. All in all, it was worth buying it like this rather than paying VW over $200 and facing a huge threat of termination. Verizon Wireless Pantech 4G LTE USB Modem Aircard UML290
