I researched the Ottlite replacement bulbs carefully before ordering these. The Ottlite website did not have the exact lamp number that was on the original lamp as it was discontinued. (I've had this lamp for several years now.) This lamp had an accurate description of the original lamp that came with the lamp, but it didn't quite match. I moved it in the socket - the flash lit up (1) and the bulb died. Lesson to Learn: If you buy an Ottlite lightbulb it is advisable to purchase a replacement bulb, or 3 if you think you will be using the lightbulb for several years as Ott continue to not make replacement bulbs. I give them ZERO stars for their support (although the original lamp itself was very good).
