Did a lot of tests to get a feel for it. What I did was first take it out of the box, look at it, put the batteries in and turn it on, no problem. Don't worry about the time mode at all, I was hoping it would work regardless of the time setting, it works. Scanned from various sources, every single item I scanned. I liked what I saw, I was also hoping that this scanner would scan everything and it works, the only thing is that when you scan computer images, they come out in black and white. I was curious so I did it. go straight out of the box. When it came time to see results from a 1GB mini SD card with the included full size SD card adapter, I used this. I was going through my SD card slot on my Canon printer. Going this route requires formatting the card with a scanner to clean the card, USB cable and a calibration sheet which I never used. For those of you who are curious, and I know there are a few of them, they also scan the skin but don't get specular, you can take them from there if you go in that direction. UPDATE: Setting the clock The following steps will help you to set the clock etc. on this scanner. YearMonthDayHourMinute The 1st number on the left side of the display is the step number, there are 5 steps in total, you only care about the number on the right side of the display, not the left side, it might throw you off like me. - Use scan to turn on. 2.- Click the 'Set Time' button on the bottom, I use a toothpick myself. up and them, C/BW-Up DPI-Down, then press the scan button 1 time to set the year. 4. - Then your month will appear (range 01-12). Repeat the process to set the year for it. /23-23:00 (this is 24 hour military time) repeat as you did to set the day on this one. it's until the 8th - then click 'set time' again, this will set all your settings, the display will show your settings if you want to know if they are accurate and up to date then turn on the device, click on "Set”. Time", press the scan button 5 times to see your settings and leave them as they are. Once you turn it off the display will show 0, then press the set time to see your settings, them will be there I hope this helps anyone who wants to set the time on this thing.
