This timer is great if you want to set and forget

This timer is great if you want to set and forget. However, if you want to check the remaining time, you cannot view it directly. You need to tilt the device at a certain angle to see the time clearly. I sent the first one back thinking it was defective but the second one is the same. If I have a timer and want to check the time, I don't want to make adjustments or move to read it. I want to look back and find out. Stupid design if you ask me.
