This square head end mill cuts aluminum well. Used on a few parts beyond what could be counted and continues to cut like new with no chipping. I will say that the coating wears out fairly quickly, but this does not affect the ability to cut. When the cutter is used to cut carbon fiber (not recommended), the blade will become dull after about 3-4 pieces. Using more aluminum parts after carbon cuts tends to push material out of the vise path. Again, this is not the cutter's fault as it is not designed to be used with carbon fiber. When used as advertised it works well and lasts.
