If it's ok then I'm sure I can give this product 5 stars. The button for unlocking and releasing the housing can be illuminated when the device is connected. Also, I'm using a decent and fairly clean laptop to measure the hard drive's read/write speeds over a USB-C connection. The (max) sequential read/write speed can be up to 1000 MB/s, which is technically close to 8 Gb/s or almost perfect, lab test 10 Gbps maximum speed USB3.1 Gen2. Pretty amazing! It will be identified as an RTL9210B-CG drive. Also comes with USB-C to USB-C cables as well as USB Type-A to USB-C cables. --- The biggest disadvantage, the disadvantage is please take a minute to watch my video, only after a few, less than 3 times open and close, the button can no longer "snap" the aluminum body . It can be EASILY pulled and released without pressing the "Unlock" button. Super easy with little effort. Unless you stick them together with glue or tape, this is now a premature product and cannot be used as a super-fast external drive. You could probably still use it as a "temporary" disk clone, a duplication that just pops in and out in a short amount of time and doesn't have to worry about the case. The aluminum body is pretty well made, but unfortunately also disappointing. that either the notch on the aluminum case is not deep enough or the plastic lock is not good/strong enough. I would suggest a "slider" to enable lock/unlock, which would be much better and could be locked than this kind of "buttons" lock/unlock, which failed miserably in this case. Either the design or the quality assurance or both is wrong. If it's serviceable it'll be a 5 star product, now it's only 3 stars as the case can't stick together, at least it shouldn't happen in less than 3 open/close times.
