They are covered in some kind of plastic/paint (black)
I really wanted to like them but they look awful. My ear was irritated when trying it on. They bend very easily BUT they also break easily and the shape doesn't stay the same. I ordered black and they are already chipped. EVEN WITH TWO COLORS THAT YOU CAN NEVER GET? I'm honestly disappointed that they didn't turn out well.
